Floor cleaner product attributes

Floor cleaner data is mostly about use, not composition. The same concentrate is diluted at one rate in an autoscrubber, another in a mop bucket and a third for heavy soil, and suppliers often publish only one ratio or a range. Yield per case, cost in use and even the foam behavior depend on which rate applies, so the record needs dilution tied to the application rather than a single number.

pH is another value that is easy to misread. A label may give the pH of the concentrate, the pH at use dilution, or just the word "neutral". Storing pH with its basis prevents a mildly alkaline concentrate from being filtered as neutral at use strength. Floor type claims also need care: vinyl composition tile, luxury vinyl, sealed concrete and natural stone have different tolerances, and a non-dulling claim applies to finished floors.

Many cleaners are sold for a specific closed-loop dispensing system, so the container and dispenser fitment decide whether a site can use the product at all. Green Seal, NSF nonfood compound and GHS classification data belong in evidence fields linked to the certificate and the current SDS.

Normalize supplier values

The same value arrives in many spellings. Map each raw string to one governed value, and keep the raw text beside it so a reviewer can see what the supplier actually wrote.

Often missing from supplier files

These fields are commonly absent from price lists and basic feeds, even though the information usually exists in a datasheet, label or installation manual. Treat an empty value as a request for evidence, not as permission to fill it from a similar model.

From supplier file to record

1. Resolve identity first. Link the supplier SKU, manufacturer part number and packaging identifiers without merging distinct variants or pack sizes.
2. Extract with the source attached. Pull values from rows, tables and datasheets, keeping the raw text, unit and page or row reference.
3. Map to your classification. Assign the ETIM, ECLASS, UNSPSC or internal class your company licenses, and keep the supplier's original terms.
4. Review, sync and watch. Hold conflicts and safety-related values for a category expert, write approved values to ERP or PIM, and recheck when the supplier sends a new file.
